Custom Pilates Folding Mats: 12-Unit Order Inspected

A Twelve-Mat Custom Order for an Overseas Client
This is a custom run rather than a stock line. The client specified 12 units in brown, and the batch is built to that order, working to the buyer's own count and finish rather than a stock specification.
Three-Pass Inspection on a Folding Pilates Mat
Mat orders are normally inspected three times. The first pass is over the front face. The mat is then turned over and the reverse face is checked. The third pass goes over the details that matter on a folding mat, such as the hinge line and the carry handle. The two panels in the photo show exactly that: the brown face on one side, and the same mats turned over on the other.
Dust Removal Before Packing
Once the three passes are done, the next step is wiping off dust. The point of it is simple: a clean surface should be what goes into the box, so nothing picked up on the workshop floor travels with the mat. Packing follows straight after.
What Sits Under the Brown Surface
The turned-over mats show the other side of a classic Pilates folding mat: a maple wood frame with folding hinges along the fold lines and black carry handles. The padded side is built from high-density foam under a microfiber leather top surface. It folds into three sections, and unfolded it measures 80 x 24 x 1.8 in (203 x 61 x 4.6 cm).
