National Day Shipping Peak: Crating and Loading Daily
In the run-up to the National Day holiday the factory is loading and shipping daily. Pilates equipment ships in standard export wooden crates, packed on site.
Workers are closing crates over equipment that has already been wrapped, and outside a container truck is backed up to the loading ramp. With the National Day holiday approaching, this is the factory most days during the run-up: containers going out, and the workshop busy on packing.
Why the Factory Is Shipping Daily
The stretch before the National Day holiday is the shipping peak ahead of the break. Orders go out by container, and through that run the factory loads and ships on a daily basis.
Every Piece Goes into an Export Crate
Pilates equipment is packed in standard export wooden crates. The photograph shows the crates lined up on the workshop floor, each one closed over equipment that has already been wrapped, with a worker sealing the next in the row.
What the Crating Is For
The wooden crate is there to protect the equipment on the way to you. It is there to take the handling and stacking, so the piece is not left bare against the knocks a long transit can bring. That protection is the whole point of crating rather than boxing loose.
Straight from the Workshop to the Container
Packing and loading happen on the same site. A crate is closed in the workshop, then it goes out to the ramp and into the container, so there is one short move between finishing a piece and starting its journey.
